HCGS Survey - Society Ties

The subject of a society tie has been brought up over the years; so we have initiated this survey for the membership to have your say. Before we commit to sourcing such items we would need to know the level of feeling and requirements of current, and possibly past, members. A graphic has been created which shows 8 basic tie designs for you to comment on. Note that the designs are only indicative of potential design layout and are by no means fixed as to colour or style; we need your feedback first. We will review the level of interest and results before giving feedback to you and ask your opinion as to further commitment.

Styles E - H (Examples only)

Thanks for taking part. Results will be posted on web site once processed. Information will be anonymous; trends and choices only shown. If demand is high but there’s no clear winner we will re-survey to find a design; a low take-up would mean we’ll shelve this idea for now.

In sourcing ties we’d like to ensure a good quality, hard wearing item; therefore we’d suggest a polyester woven tie. Printed are cheaper but fade and are poorer material; silk, although a quality material is more expensive. Tie costs vary on quantities but bulk buying adds financial risk if purchases don’t match orders. We’d like an idea of commitment as to what you would pay for a tie and would you pay prior to manufacture.
